Kinnect NJ is a collection of Jersey natives hoping to make it a little easier to find explore, find, and appreciate black music, people and vibes in Jersey we're here to build community while showing love to the amazing people who have already laid the groundwork.

Remember, we are not a monolith. The black diaspora presents itslef in many unique and beautiful ways.

Portmanteau - a word blending the sounds and combining the meanings of at least two others

Kinship - one’s family and relations. Family isn’t always blood. The closest bonds often form like similar culture, less so than genetics.

Connection - to have or establish a rapport. Connecting can be as simple as nodding our heads together to the beat.
